About the Tech Poster
The Tech Poster series explores the engineering, design, and details that define a Koenigsegg. Each composition offers a different perspective, from complete vehicles to individual components, revealing the intent behind the design.
This edition features the Engage Shift System (ESS), developed for the Koenigsegg CC850. The composition highlights the complexity of the transmission and the components that make the system possible.
ESS allows the driver to alternate between a fully automatic 9-speed transmission and a gated 6-speed manual, complete with a functional clutch pedal. The result is a transmission that combines two distinct driving experiences within a single mechanical system.
